Jessica Hopfield joined our board of directors in December 2021. She also serves as an independent director on the boards of Maravai and Editas Medicine and is a former Trustee and Chair of the Joslin Diabetes Center. Dr. Hopfield is a scientist and business leader with more than two decades of experience in the medical and healthcare fields. She currently serves as both a strategic advisor and investor to healthcare and technology companies seeking to commercialize innovative intellectual property.  From 1995 to 2009, she was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in their global pharmaceuticals and medical devices practice where she led work in strategy, research and development management across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and consumer industries. Dr. Hopfield also previously held management positions at Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. in clinical development, outcomes research, and marketing. Dr. Hopfield holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences from The Rockefeller University, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in biology from Yale College.
